An affordable elliptical trainer, this top model in the series of rear drive stride trainers by Gold’s Gym offers a reliable workout experience with access to advanced workout technology like iFit.

The Stride Trainer 410, which is priced under $500 (on sale from $599), is the top model in the Gold’s Gym line of rear-drive elliptical stride trainers. This model has a weight capacity of 250 pounds and a stride length of 18 inches; the flywheel weight is not disclosed via their website, but the company does say this model features an “Inertia Enhanced Flywheel.”

Users have 12 levels of digital resistance to choose from, which features automatic resistance control. The pedals are cushioned with SoftTrac™ cushioning and feature an adjustable design with three settings.

The console is designed with a 5×7 workout matrix display and blue-tinted LCD display that is equipped with iFit technology and offers 12 workout programs. The size of the LCD display is not specified. From the display, users can track speed, distance, resistance, time, calories burned and pulse. The console area also features the basics like a water bottle holder and built-in adjustable fan. If you want to also track your heart rate, there are built-in dual-grip EKG heart rate monitor grips on the stationary handlebars.

Gold’s Gym offers a 5 year warranty on the frame and 90-days on parts and labor.

The bottom line here is that you get what you pay for. This is an inexpensive model, so it lacks in many areas. However; if you are looking for a basic piece of equipment to get in some cardio here and there, the Stride Trainer 410 may be a perfect fit for you. The console is really not too bad either, though it lacks any flashy features or entertainment options, but the iFit compatibility makes it easy to mix up workouts.
